Xochilt Huitzil

Xochilt Huitzil is a dance educator, choreographer, and arts producer from the Valley of the Sun. She earned her BFA in Dance Education in 2022 and received the Outstanding Graduate Award for her leadership and community engagement through the ASU Salsa Club and The Latin Sol Dance Festival.
 

She has performed as a principal dancer with Stilo Dance Company and directed its Kids and Teens teams, earning first place in Pro-Am Partnerwork at Imperio Dance Competition. Xochilt has also directed and co-produced cultural events including Blending the Moves Dance Festival, Blending Pachanga, the Arizona Drive-in Film Festival, and The Moonlight Party.

She is the founder of Suzie Q Dance Company, a Salsa On-2 training and performance company with youth and adult teams that teach, perform, and compete locally and internationally. Rooted in Afro-Latin dance traditions, Xochilt creates culturally grounded choreography and educational programming for students from elementary through collegiate levels.
